
Alessio Morreale is a British London-based writer/director of Sicilian heritage. With over a decade of experience supporting the British film/TV industry, he has worked for pioneering companies such as RED, Panavision London and HBO, providing camera technical services and DIT support for feature films, commercials and HETV productions.
Alessio’s second short film ‘The Hourglass’ received 9 awards and 3 official selections during its festival run. He is currently writing an existentialist novel and a TV Drama spec script. His body of work explores themes of family, existential dread and morally ambiguous characters.

‘THE HOURGLASS’ receives first awards. 🏆
‘THE HOURGLASS’ receives awards for Best Composer of the season at the Montreal Independent Film Festival 2023, and Best Original Score at the Toronto Independent Film Festival of CIFT 2023, for the dedicated craft of composer, Gedminte Samsonaite. The film was also selected at the Prague International Film Awards 2023 and continues to run the film festival circuit for 2023/2024.
